Library loans and collections
The Library lends books, journals, magazines, course reserves, and DVDs for free to everyone with a UBCcard. While the majority of our collection is available online, access to print collections from the UBC Library is available through our contactless pickup service.
The Student Learning Hub is your go-to resource for free learning support—fully online to meet your remote learning needs! The Hub welcomes undergraduate students from all disciplines and years to access a range of supports that include tutoring in math, sciences, and writing, as well as dedicated learning support.

Space and Service Updates at UBC Okanagan Library
UBC Okanagan Library spaces are closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Informal learning spaces and bookable study rooms are available in The Commons and other buildings on campus. All Library services have shifted to online. View a list of our space closures and service updates.
Japanese language instructors Nina Langton and Mayu Takasaki and UBCO student Saki Irie, are working on an Open Educational Resource that introduces Ainu content to Japanese language students with the goal of Indigenizing the curriculum and sharing those efforts with other educators.
We’re featuring an OER project spearheaded by chemistry professors Dr. McNeil and Dr. Freeman and PhD student Riley J. Petillion. They are developing Context-Embedded Guided-Inquiry Learning Modules with the goal of one day replacing first-year chemistry textbooks with OERs.
We’re hiring TWO student intern positions supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the library with a focus on UBC’s Inclusion Action Plan & Indigenous Strategic Plan. Apply before July 23, 2021.
