UBC Okanagan Campus Archives is a branch of Okanagan Special Collections and Archives that collects and preserves both institutional and private records related to the history of UBC’s Okanagan campus.
Access to physical records
Visit Okanagan Special Collections & Archives to consult university records at UBC Okanagan. Our materials can be accessed through the Corbishley Family Reading Room in COM 004 in the Commons building.
Please use our online booking system to make an appointment. If you don’t see a time that works for you, email us at osc.contact@lists.ubc.ca.
Access to institutional records is governed by BC’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPOP). All access requests must be supported by a Patron Agreement.

Honorary Degrees
UBC Okanagan
UBC Okanagan first conferred honorary degrees at its inaugural Congregation in Kelowna on June 9, 2006. The recipients that day were Syilx educator and activist Jeannette Armstrong; and Dr. William Bowering, former president of Okanagan University College.
Recordings of all UBCO convocation ceremonies from 2013 to present can be found on the UBC Studios Okanagan YouTube channel.

UBC’s Point Grey campus began conferring honorary degrees at its inaugural Congregation on October 16th, 1925.

Okanagan Special Collections & Archives works closely with UBC Okanagan’s Records Management team to ensure historically significant records are transferred to UBC Okanagan Campus Archives.
