The UBC Okanagan Open Educational Resources Grant pilot program provides funding and support to UBC Okanagan faculty who wish to adapt or create open educational resources. Open Educational Resources (OER) are any teaching and learning materials that are made available to others to use without cost, and with an open license that allows for their reuse, revision, and redistribution. OERs may include open textbooks, lesson plans, quizzes and test banks, videos, animation, and simulations, class handouts, interactive activities and tools, and presentations.
Application Deadline: November 27, 2020

Are there any 2SLGBTQIA+ books, movies, shows, or other resources that you wish were available through the UBC Library? During Queer Orientation we are asking UBCO students, staff, and faculty to recommend their favourite 2SLGBTQIA+ literature, films, and more through our social media channels to help develop our collection. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and send us your recommendations in a comment, DM, or simply @UBCOLibrary. We’ll also be offering some of our favourites from our collection. #ubcolibraryrecs

From our remote work environments to wherever you are remote learning – we want you to know that your Library is here to support you online.
Although most physical Library spaces remain closed, our dedicated team has spent the summer preparing virtual services so that we can continue to support you remotely. We have shifted our services to support you online through a variety of flexible formats: instant AskAway chat for assistance with using the Library’s resources, virtual consultations with Subject Librarians for your in-depth research questions, and local contactless pickup for borrowing books.
In addition, the Student Learning Hub is now fully virtual with an array of free and flexible online learning services to support you while learning remotely. Discover a support network that meets your individual needs, including online learning skills support; tutoring in math, science, and writing; Supplemental Learning’s group study sessions; and one-on-one language development for French, Spanish, and English.
We wish you a successful academic term!
